How Monthly Active Document pricing works

A large library, lightly accessed

Your protected library contains 2,000 documents. During the month, authorized recipients access 320 unique documents. Your monthly active-document count is 320 — a fit for Pro.

Counts: 320 → Pro

One document, many readers

One protected document is opened by 600 authorized recipients during the month. That document counts once.

600 readers → counts once

One reader, many documents

One recipient opens 25 different protected documents. Those accesses count as 25 Monthly Active Documents.

25 documents → counts 25

Stored but not accessed

A protected document remains stored in the account but no authorized recipient opens it during the month. It does not count for that billing month.

No opens → not billed
